Mission

Indoor Development Training (IDT) runs for 14 sessions at Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Mattamy Sports Park, 5320 Ninth Line, Mississauga, ON L5M 2S2

The mission is to improve skills, focusing on and developing self-confident players who are passionate about enhancing their tactical and technical skills required to become better soccer players.

Objective

The 14 sessions are conducted at Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Mattamy Sports Park (5320 Ninth Line, Mississauga, ON L5M 2S2) by our skilled and experienced Coaching staff.

Please check Club Coaches. The Indoor Development Training sessions are designed to bridge players between the Recreation House League and the Rep programs/High Performance program.

The program is designed to help individual players of all ages with their soccer abilities. The sessions focus on skill development, passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting/finishing, heading, crossing, as well as the development of technical, strategic, tactical, creative, physical and mental skills. Using a combination of basic and advanced development drills, as well as dynamic game-situation environments, ODT creates an environment focused on achieving results through consistent, interrelated, and progressive skill development. Young athletes need to be trained within a structured technical, tactical and physical soccer development curriculum.

Program Overview

The IDT 14-session program is conducted at Churchill Meadows Community Centre and aims to master each level of development, from beginner to advanced, regardless of age.

  • Introduction to high-intensity soccer training sessions for all players. The program has a division for kids who have never kicked a ball before but want to see what all the fuss is about. Join the world’s #1 played sport.
  • IDT sessions will focus on ball mastery, soccer skills, fitness and knowledge of the game at an age-appropriate level.  The skills that participants will develop in the program include juggling, first touch, age-appropriate tactics/game knowledge, soccer kicks, turning/changing direction, throw-ins, passing, heading, change of direction, and feints.
  • IDT sessions are designed to provide the opportunity for athletes at an early age, who truly love the game of soccer, to be taught the proper technical and tactical skills needed for high-performance play.
  • Games can be played at the 2025/2026 Indoor Recreation House League; however, there will be scrimmages at the end of each session.
  • All ages train together, but drills are grouped by skill level.
