Mississauga Soccer Coaching Staff

 Coach Ian Slocombe Hi My name is Ian and I have been coaching soccer for the last 15 years, 7 of which have been with the Inter Soccer Club Mississauga. I coached house league for 5 years and have been coaching two IMFC All Star Teams for the past 3 seasons. My U13/14 All Star Team just won the Hershey Small Sided Championship for the 2012/2013 indoor winter season. I am certified with the OSA and have completed the “Learn to Train”, “Respect in Soccer”, “Making Ethical Decisions” and “Soccer for Life” courses. My soccer background started in England where I coached for 3 years and attended the Reading FC Youth Academy. I am the proud father of 3 children and have a wonderful wife who acts as my soccer manager as well.
 
 Jordan
 My name is Jordan and I am currently pursuing my professional soccer career in Europe. I have been in love with the game since I was 2 years old. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts degree and soccer gave me full scholarship through my four years at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I played semi-professional in England, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. Soccer has added a lot of stability and joy to my life and it is a privilege to give back to the game. I enjoy coaching kids because they remind me that soccer is fun. It is a release and it is meant to be enjoyed
 
  Hello, my name is Marco and I have been playing soccer recreationaly and competitively for the past 20 years. I received a soccer scholarship at Bowling Green State University in Ohio where I played competitively. I have coached competitive soccer in the US. I have also played Professional Soccer in Massachusetts. I am very excited to be a part of the IMFC coaching staff because it allows me to pass on my knowledge and experiences to young players. Tere is nothing more satisfying than being an active part of the future of young athletes. I have started my Coaching Career here in Canada with the International Soccer Club coaching our IMFC U8 Rep team and i can’t wait to see this team grow and develop across the Region.”

 Hi my name is Dawson, I’ve been playing soccer at various competitive and recreational levels for the past 20 years. I’ve been coaching soccer for 2 years. I’m a graduate from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education and a Bachelor of Education. I am a certified Coach with the Ontario Soccer Association. I have First Aid and CPR-C, OSA “Respect in Soccer”, NCCP Fundamental movement skills and NCCP Multi-sport Intro to Competition Certifications. I’ve always loved to be active and to be outside and soccer was what made being outside and active fun! I want to use my knowledge and experience of soccer and physical activity along with International Soccer Club’s principles to create a fun and safe environment for kids to learn to play soccer and to learn to love the game just like me!   Hello, my name is Aaron. I have been involved in soccer between playing and coaching competitive and recreational soccer for the last 20 years. Currently, I am certified with: The Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) as a recreational and competitive youth Soccer. The experience I have gained has allowed me to use advanced coaching principles, to further develop athletic progression in today’s youth. With this in mind, I am extremely excited to be coaching with the ISC and I look forward to playing with young boys and girls and make this coming season the most exciting season for our kids.   Hello, my name is Carlton. I have been coaching and playing soccer for the past 12 years. I have played both competitive and recreational soccer. Currently I am pursuing a career in Information Technology Management. I am also a certified coach with the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA). My experience over the past years of playing and coaching soccer has helped me advance my coaching principles. With this in mind I happy to be a coach at the International Soccer Club and determined to use my experience and capabilities to help every young player reach their full potential.
 
  Hello, my name is Matthew. I have been playing soccer for the last 13 years. I was the captain of my TFC Academy team for three consecutive years until the age of 14 then again with the TFC Academy as the U16 captain of the team. My passion for soccer has been the reason I obtained a University scholarship, currently at West Virginia University.  I pursuing a career in Exercise Science. I am very excited to be part of the ISC coaching staff this summer and I look forward to helping guide and develop the passion and the love of soccer with young players.
 
  Hello, my name is Corey, I have been involved in recreational and competitive soccer between coahcing and playing for teh past 16 years. I recently joined a new recreational Adult co-ed soccer league. I am currently certified as a coach with the Ontario Soccer Association and been coaching with the International Soccer Club for four years. I hope with the help and support of the parents, we shall all contribute in developing better soccer players and better young people. looking forward to meet everyone soon.

I have been playing competitive soccer for about 7 years. I have been coaching soccer for the past few years and I hope to have fun with our young players this season and for many more seasons to come.

I have been involved in soccer between playing and assistant coaching for over eight years. I have been in love with soccer since I was born. My academic studies is sport management had helped me develop a better understanding of all the supporting functions that surround a successful athlete. I am pursuing my FiFa A Coaching licence to help me work with the Professional soccer players.   Hello, my name is Marc. I have been involved in soccer between playing and coaching for 15 years. I am certified coach by the Ontario Soccer Association and I have successfully passed the International Soccer Club coaching course. I am currently pursuing a career in Kinesiology. My academic career in sports psychology has helped learn a lot about how to coach young players and encourage them to become successful athletes. I am hoping that after this season ends I will be able to inspire young athletes to become better people and I am looking forward to learning from them as well :).

I am also a certified referee. My goal is to educate young athletes and better soccer playeers.   Hello, my name is Michael. I have been involved in soccer between coaching and playing for the past 17 years. I have gained my soccer as a player through playing with friends, in various recreational leagues and structured Competitive Soccer. I am also a certified coach with the OSA. I started coaching with the International Soccer Club for the past three seasons both indoor and outdoor. I focus my training with the young players on developing individual skills as well as teamwork tactics on the field. My love and passion for coaching and teaching allows me to stay involved in sport.
